If you are like me, you often wonder how designers come up with their design names. What were they doing when the "name" popped into their head. I wonder if the one of the designers at Coach were "spectators" at their child's ball game and realized that they didn't have enough pockets in their handbag for all the stuff parents lug to their kids' games, ie., camera, sun block, snacks, sun glasses, the baby's pacifier.
Well, if you happen to be a busy person who finds that their normal everyday Coach bag just doesn't have enough pockets and room for these type outings, the Coach Penelope Spectator Leather Shopper is perfect for you. Let's take a look at a why I say this. (more...)
Jimmy Choo has some very interesting Valentines Day gift ideas, one of which is the Jimmy Choo Zulu Tie Dye Patent Wallet. This cute little bag can be used as both a small clutch or an over-sized wallet as it measures in at 12"L x 7"H x 7"W. The tie dye pattern of swirled black and red fit the Valentines theme very nicely; however, I personally feel that the price tag of $625 is a little too high.
What do you think about this little bag? (more...)
Upon checking my e-mail this morning, I found an e-mail from Gucci announcing their Valentines Day gift ideas. Among these great ideas was the Gucci Joy Medium Boston Bag. This bag comes in many different prints, but I chose to show you the one with red hearts all over it just to get us all in the mood for Valentines Day.
The white Joy Medium Boston Bag with red hearts has red, double handles, zip-top closure, D ring detail, inside pocket, and measures 12.6"L x 6.y"W x 8.7"H. You can find this bag for sale at Gucci.com for $695.
Now, a Gucci bag for $695 really is a great deal, and if the red hearts don't fit your personal style, there are several different prints to choose from. I think I will be dropping a little bug in my hubby's ear for this one.
Coach has just released an e-mail stating that the new wallets for spring 2009 are here. They are so much fun, especially when you find the perfect Coach Wallet that really fits your personality. The colors this spring are very well rounded. There are the bright and vibrant colors as well as the earth-toned casuals. Take a peak at these beautiful Coach Wallets. (more...)
I got an e-mail just the other day from Coach.com introducing the new Coach Heritage Stripe Collection. I must say that the Coach Heritage Stripe Tattersall Graffiti Domed Satchel is my favorite from this new line. Coach prides itself on new and inovative designs that keeps us Coach lovers coming back for more, and this one is tops.
I really like the coated tattersall fabric design of this bag and the metallic leather trim. It is different from the traditional CC design, and displays the year 1941 in which the first Coach handbag was born. With it being a domed satchel, it holds its shape extremely well and displays a zip-top closure; another plus in my book. Inside is a zip pocket, cell phone and multifunction pockets swaddled in beautiful fabric lining. You will also find one exterior pocket with turnlock closure and one open exterior pocket that provides easy storage for keys and your favorite lipstick. I love the size of this bag as it measures 13-3/4"L x 9"H x 6"W with a 6-1/2" drops and 15" straps.
The new Tattersall Graffiti Domed Satchel is sure to be a favorite with all Coach lovers. I can't wait to hear what others have to say about it. You can find this Coach bag at Coach.com for $498, Style No: 13186. (more...)
I love bags that can be used in more than one way, and I find that the Marc Jacobs Cruise Convertible Tote is one of these bags; hence, the word "convertible" in its name.
I love the decieving violet color that appear to be more blue in some lighting, the distress leather pattern. and the geometric accents. The top-loop handles offer a touch of sophistication while the distressed leather adds flares of fun.
You will find that this Marc Jacobs handbag is perfect as an everyday bag as it measures in at 13"H x 19"W x 16"D; however, it transforms beautifully into an elegant, triangle evening bag by folding in the corners. Nothing like two bags in one. I love this idea. Marc Jacobs Handbags available at Nordstrom. (more...)
The wintertime blues always hits me about this time every year, and so I was so excited to see the new colors that Coach is bringing out in their new spring line to help brighten my mood. One of my favorite this 2009 spring season is the Coach Penelope Leather Shopper. Lilac is my favorite color, and when I saw this beautiful Coach bag bathed in my favorite color, I screamed with excitement. Silly, huh? But, I couldn't help myself.
I must admit that I don't usually like the "shopper" styles in handbags, but something about this one really appeals to me. Aside from it coming in my favorite color, I really like the slight, seamless leather ruffle at the top of the bag. I think this takes the "old lady" feel away and replaces it with a youthful, flirty touch.
Along with its youthful flare is the youthful 18" belt loop and hole straps and flirty patent leather trim. Inside it holds a center divider, zip pocket along with cellphone or multifunction pocket, and matching lining.
I can only find one thing that I don't like about this bag, and that is the fact that its an open-top bag, which I think is completely useless. Now, Coach did recognize that this wouldn't go over well with the majority of the Coach loving community, and they did incorporate interior magnetic snaps which is better than nothing. I really wish they would have included a zip-top closure, but the magnets should work fine. These bags can be found at Coach.com for $398 or below on eBay. (more...)
