Gucci is bringing out their Spring 2009 line, and one that I really like is the Medium Jockey Tote. This very chic and classy bag comes in beige and ebony with the GG fabric and sand leather trim. It is coupled with goldtone hardware, double handles with rings, snap closure, and horsebit details. You will find the embossed Gucci script logo and adjustable side buckles and studs. I really like the look of the Gucci Jockey Tote. To me, it carries class and sophistication all rolled into one great looking bag. It is a descent size and the horsebit details really ropes me in. I just wish it came with a zip-top closure. I carry so much stuff, that I'm always afraid stuff will fall out, even with a snap closure. (more...)
One of the most time-withstanding Coach Handbags is the Coach Carly Handbag. Season after season it makes its return with even more boldness and glamour. This white Coach Leather Carly is absolutely beautiful. This particular Coach bag comes in both black and white leather, but I wanted you to see all the detail, so I chose to show you the white bag.
First, let's get all the detail information out of the way. This bag measures in at 15"L x 9-1/2"H x 5"W accompanied by a 6-1/2" drop. There is an inside zip pocket, cellphone/multi-function pocket, and zip-top closure. It is crafted with fine, lightweight leather and glazed leather trim and turnlock detail.
Ok, with that out of the way, what is it that keeps us coming back for the Coach Carly? I know for myself, I'm so drawn by the 12-1/2" strap with dogtleash clip. I love this, and I can't explain why except for I love the way this bag looks with jeans and tees, and since I'm a jeans and tees kind of gal, this works wonderfully for me.
I came across this Valentino-Garavani handbag today, and I thought it was very interesting; but first, I will give you all the specific design details and then my opinion.
This Valentino bag is made of leather that is gathered and pleated in a "V-type" pattern with double, black leather handles that measure 16.8 inches. You will find a zip-top closure as well as an internal zip pocket. This bag measures 14.8"W x 6.6"D x 14.0"H, and its available in both beige and black. I always find the Valentino bags to be very interesting, and I love the size and shape of this particular bag, but I'm having a little trouble with the pleats. They are very attractive, but I think that since the pleats fold upward, it would be very hard to keep this bag clean as dust and such can easily deposit within the pleats requiring careful and constant attention. Now, if the pleats were in a downward fold, I wouldn't worry about this so much. (more...)
Oh my goodness. I came across a bag today on the Bag Dream Blog that I really have no words for. I laughed. I rubbed my chin. I scratched my head, and then laughed some more. It is an alligator foot coin purse. I have no idea who makes it, do you? This one is crazy!
I really love the sophisticated elegance of the Black Lady Dior Bag that is made of quilted lambskin with "Cannage" stitching and the "D.I.O.R" silver-tone metal letters. It has just one zipped pocket on the inside, but that is really all this little bag needs.
It's simple elegance really is perfect for a nice night out or the office. It carries a sharp, clean, yet soft feel to it. I just love bags that are so versatile.
This little bag carries quite the sales price of $1800, but the quality is priceless. (more...)
Fendi took on a new idea with the use of geometry in the Fendi Patchwork Textured Clutch. Fendi calls this a clutch, but this bag measures 17"W x 13.5"H, which seems quite large for a clutch.
I do find the use of geometry in the materials very interesting. I like how the tortoiseshell plate offsets the textured shades of brown and black leather, but I just can't seem to get past the square top stuck on the front of the bag.

I have one word for this Coach handbag....Yummy! I think the Coach Penelope Leather Shopper is sure to be a big hit for them this season with its sensible design and soft colors in black, cobalt, coral, white, and lilac which is my all-time favorite color.
A lot of Shopper designs have the "old lady" feel to them, but I can see myself carrying this and not feel like I'm showing my age...LOL. It definitely has the youthful 18" belt loop and hole straps and flirty patent leather trim. Inside it holds a center divider and zip pocket along with cellphone or multifunction pocket.
The only downfall with this bag is it is open top, but Coach did realize the dysfunction in that and incorporated interior magnetic snaps. I can appreciate this, and I think the snaps will work wonderfully. Coach Handbags available at Nordstrom. (more...)
