Coach announced today their introduction of the Coach Maggie Collection as marvelous, smart, sophisticated, and an instant new classic; however, it will really depend on what we, Coach Lovers, really think of it, right? I have visited Coach.com to view this new line, and I think that Coach is has made the right call in their advertising.
So far and at a quick glance, I like the leather bags more than the op art or signature prints; however, my favorite so far is the Coach Maggie Ruby Hobo. I will be reviewing each of these bags at a later date, but wanted to give you a heads up on what's new and exciting.
Ok ladies, we have all been waiting on the edge of our seats for the new Coach Poppy Collection, and now the wait is over. Coach was right on the head with the name for the new line, Poppy, because they certainly do that. Wow! The colors a bright, bold, and eye-popping. I don't know that the seasoned Coach lovers will care for this line, but the younger generation will love it. I put together a grouping of some of the Coach Poppy Handbags in the new line to give you an idea of what they look like.
The new Coach Parker Perforated Op Art Shoulder Bag is a beautiful new addition to the Coach family. Class and sophistication radiates from this beauty. This is a leather bag with the Op Art design perforated into it. It carries a very soft, touchable look to it that is very warm and inviting. The large pleat centered on the front and the back adds just enough pizzaz to take it from ordinary to original.
For those of us who love storage and pockets, you will find two deep, outside gosset pockets, one on each side along with the standard inside zip pocket and cellphone and multipurpose pockets.
Storage is always a big seller for many women on the go, and this bag has plenty of that as it measures 10-1/2" L x 11" H x 5" W and provides 14" handle with 9" drop. The above picture really gives you a great idea of how the Coach Parker Perforated Leather Shoulder Bag will fit your body. With the top of the bag starting at breastline and the bottom ending at mid-hip, you can see how this bag will provide you with the storage that you need.
In my opinion, the Coach Parker Perforated Op Art Shoulder Bag is a wonderful bag to have; not just in look and design, but elegance, class and versatility. It is made to be used for all occassions, and will fit into any wardrobe beautifully.
The new Coach Ali Large Hogo is the perfect bag for me. It is large, roomy, and the color is brilliant. I have often complained about the bottom of several Coach bags not being wide enough, and the Coach Ali has certainly taken this into consideration. Not that they listened to me by any means, but the design team included a wider bottom that I think will really help this bag stand above the rest.
I love the tangerine color that has been added to this design. It is a larger bag and the color really makes it pop. Adding the crossbody strap will make carrying this large bag a snap and can hold everything you need for a long outing. The crossbody strap measures 46'1/2" so even the tallest of women can wear it with ease. I'm 6' tall myself, so I really appreciate the added length.

The wintertime blues always hits me about this time every year, and so I was so excited to see the new colors that Coach is bringing out in their new spring line to help brighten my mood. One of my favorite this 2009 spring season is the Coach Penelope Leather Shopper. Lilac is my favorite color, and when I saw this beautiful Coach bag bathed in my favorite color, I screamed with excitement. Silly, huh? But, I couldn't help myself.
I must admit that I don't usually like the "shopper" styles in handbags, but something about this one really appeals to me. Aside from it coming in my favorite color, I really like the slight, seamless leather ruffle at the top of the bag. I think this takes the "old lady" feel away and replaces it with a youthful, flirty touch.
Along with its youthful flare is the youthful 18" belt loop and hole straps and flirty patent leather trim. Inside it holds a center divider, zip pocket along with cellphone or multifunction pocket, and matching lining.
I can only find one thing that I don't like about this bag, and that is the fact that its an open-top bag, which I think is completely useless. Now, Coach did recognize that this wouldn't go over well with the majority of the Coach loving community, and they did incorporate interior magnetic snaps which is better than nothing. One of the most time-withstanding Coach Handbags is the Coach Carly Handbag. Season after season it makes its return with even more boldness and glamour. This white Coach Leather Carly is absolutely beautiful. This particular Coach bag comes in both black and white leather, but I wanted you to see all the detail, so I chose to show you the white bag.
First, let's get all the detail information out of the way. This bag measures in at 15"L x 9-1/2"H x 5"W accompanied by a 6-1/2" drop. There is an inside zip pocket, cellphone/multi-function pocket, and zip-top closure. It is crafted with fine, lightweight leather and glazed leather trim and turnlock detail.
Ok, with that out of the way, what is it that keeps us coming back for the Coach Carly? I know for myself, I'm so drawn by the 12-1/2" strap with dogtleash clip. I love this, and I can't explain why except for I love the way this bag looks with jeans and tees, and since I'm a jeans and tees kind of gal, this works wonderfully for me.
I have one word for this Coach handbag....Yummy! I think the Coach Penelope Leather Shopper is sure to be a big hit for them this season with its sensible design and soft colors in black, cobalt, coral, white, and lilac which is my all-time favorite color.
A lot of Shopper designs have the "old lady" feel to them, but I can see myself carrying this and not feel like I'm showing my age...LOL.
